Book Club—check.
Piano Lessons----check.
That’s right, I’ve started piano (again). I played for six years when I was younger, but just like making the bed, it was a chore. I didn’t appreciate the beauty of being able to read notes and making music from these lines and dots on a page.
Now...I can’t get enough. I love it. I practice with no complaints. And those of you who say it’s like riding a bike…once you’ve stopped for a while it will come back to you when you return. That would be wrong. I’ve retained very little.
My teacher told me she was staying reserved with her excitement because most adults don’t follow through due to schedules and families. I will prove her wrong, I will practice, I will learn and I will have a recital to share my new love to the world…well maybe just a few friends.
