WOO HOO!!! I have wanted to join a book club for, well...EVER. I don't know why I never started one. Well, maybe I do. It's a big word called procrastination. I've thought about it and thought about it, (among other things), but NEVER do anything to make it happen.
Well, it's a new year people. Ok, well, it's a new month people and I'm starting a new chapter in my life. I'm starting to do things the way I want to do them.
I'm starting to do things that I love and never taken that one giant step to actually do it.
Let me be clear...I didn't start the book club. My friend Amy Seattle...I have way too many Amy's in my life...not really...nobody can have too many Amy's, but it gets a little confusing. All the Amy's are from or live in different locations, hence the city after the name. SO...Amy Seattle was mentioning to me, she had joined a book club with the girls from her work. This is the moment I refrain from jumping up and down with joy, but my insides were leaping, and tell her I've ALWAYS wanted to be in a book club and then...I invite myself to join in. Come Monday, I get an email and in subject line, "Welcome to the club." Cue...pumping fists and loud out bursts of "YES..I'M IN A BOOK CLUB." Maybe another WOO HOO, but let's not get over the top.
The first get together was last night and of course I hadn't read the book, but great company, great food, great talks, drinks for everybody, not to mention non stop laughter....yes please!!!!
Can't wait for Water for Elephants...I've heard good things and bad things. I'll be the judge of that and talk about it next month, thank you very much. Can't wait!!
